Free Annual Credit Report) from each of the 3 major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian & Trans Union) every 12 month as part of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act). You should take advantage of this privilege and order your credit reports every year to monitor your credit.

The 3 major credit bureaus put up a central service that handles all of the free 3 bureau credit report requests, called the Annual Credit Report Request Service. Your 3 Bureau Credit Report Free are available ONLY through this website.

Each of the credit bureaus also supplies consumers with credit reports on their private websites, but these aren’t part of the FACT Act and aren’t free! You will be asked to provide your credit card details, and you will be charged. The only place that doesn’t ask for any form of payment is the Annual Credit Report Request Service mentioned above.
