3 Major Credit Reports

3 Major Credit ReportsUnder the FACT Act that was signed into law in 2003, every person is entitled to get a free copy of his/hers credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus – Experian, TransUnion and Equifax every 12 months.

The ONLY place to get your 3 major credit reports for free is www.annualcreditreport.com
This site (also known as the Annual Credit Report Request Service) was set up by the 3 major credit bureaus especially for this purpose, and is regulated by the government.

Do Not go to each of the 3 credit bureaus website for your reports. If you do – you’ll be asked to provide your credit card details, and you’ll be charged for these reports. Also, avoid goggling “annual free credit report” or similar search terms. There are many imposter sites that either try to steal information from you, or charge you a fee for a service that’s free by law! This is the only “Legit” site, and the only one regulated by the federal government.

The Annual Credit Report Request Service provides you with three options to obtain your free annual credit reports: Online, over the phone (toll free) or by mail. If you choose the online option then you can access, view & download your 3 major credit report instantly.

Thru the site you can order your credit report from just one, two or all three credit bureaus (the later is also known as a 3-in-1 credit report).

See Free Government Credit Report for more details and information regarding your 3 major credit report and an important personal information scams warning.
