Can I apply for a major credit card?

I’ve had an unsecured Best Buy credit card with $2000 limit for 10 months. From what I’ve read it’s best to have 2 or even 3 CC to build your credit. Can I apply for a major credit card or is it too soon?

Before you turn 21, it’s difficult to get a CC unless you have substantial income or a co-signer.
I’m over 21
In that case you should try getting the CapOne Journey Visa, Discover it for Students or QuickSilverOne MC. All three CCs are easy to get and you don’t have to be a student to get approved.
