I was sued by a collection agency a year ago, but it’s not showing on my free annual credit bureau report.

About three years ago I defaulted on a credit card that I had back then because I went un employed for a couple of month. The original debt was small, less than $200. Anyway, they sold it to a collection agency a year later and I was sued by them.

They mailed me the suit, but I’ve never received any judgment and when I checked my report – it’s not reported.

    Does anyone know what’s happening?

They probably never filed the lawsuit

It sounds like a collection agency threatened a lawsuit or sent you paperwork that looked official in the hopes off scaring you into paying, but never actually filed the lawsuit.
You can heck with the local court and see if there’s an actual judgment against you, but since it doesn’t show on your credit report, I suspect you won’t find a judgment at the court either.

I’d simply leave it as is if I were you.
